Welcome to our TEST SOCKETS section. Here you'll find a special assortment of our test sockets by category, visual representations and design notes that help you get an idea of what went into the samples we actually get around to taking pictures of and putting here on the site. It should be noted that the sockets presented here are only a subset of the many custom sockets we have designed and built over more than 50 years of dedicated, conscientious service.

More About Our Sockets
TEST & BURN-IN SOCKETS FOR THROUGH-HOLE POWER MODULES & RELAYS
A typical relay test socket is made from Glass filled Teflon and contact populated with 15A rated P/N LPK-100 and/or P/N LPK-125 kelvin. Optional materials and contacts are available. We have many years of experience producing relay test sockets for both straight pin and hook pin relays.
Test & burn-in sockets for through-hole power modules are available with several design options:

Test & burn-in sockets for through-hole power modules are available with several design options:
- Standard materials include Radel 5500 & Ultem 2300. Optional materials include ESD compliant Semitron 225 & Semitron 520HR.
- The sockets are usually contact populated with P/N LPK-100 and/or P/N LPK-125 kelvin for module pin locations requiring 15A or less. For module pin locations requiring more than 15A, we recommend our HPK series of high current kelvin contacts. These contacts are pin size specific, and available for the following module pin sizes: 0.025” sq./rect., 0.040” dia., 0.062” dia., 0.080” dia., 0.150” dia. & 0.180” dia. A contact pair is rated at 50A. In some applications, where the current requirement is very high, we have been able to design the socket with three or four of these contacts per module pin, which will significantly increase the original 50A rating.
- A lever actuated module ejection feature is available for most test sockets. This option greatly reduces the possibility of bending module pins, during test.
- High current Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) test sockets can be designed for many modules, depending on the module pin footprint. These sockets are contact populated with our 50A rated HPK-FS series of kelvin contacts.
